A shared meal. A familiar face. Someone making room for you at the table.

That’s the feeling we want to give a permanent home.

We’re Paulito and Bryl, the founders of TAYO, a modern Filipino community and creative collective in Amsterdam. Through food, gatherings and creative collaborations, we bring people together to share something of themselves and get to know one another.

Now we want to open a Filipino community café: a place you can return to, bring a friend or walk into on your own and feel welcome.

Filipino roots. Open to everyone.

There will be food and coffee, but what matters just as much is what happens around the table: conversations, new friendships and ideas that grow when people spend time together.

We have a café and creative/co-working space in mind in Amsterdam’s Spaarndammerbuurt. Your support would bring us closer to taking it over and getting it ready to welcome you.

What your donation will support

We plan to use the funds towards the takeover, essential equipment and setup, and the initial costs of opening. We’ll share a breakdown of the budget and updates as the plans develop.

The location is not yet secured. If the location or opening plans change, we’ll explain what that means for the campaign and the funds raised.

Who receives the funds

The café will be commercially operated through our café BV, separately from Stichting TAYO. This campaign supports the café opening, rather than a separate foundation project.

Funds will be received by TAYO BV, and we will keep supporters informed about how they are spent.
