From Olivia’s mom:
Crawl, walk, run, and swim. These are the milestones that shape a child’s journey.
Swimming has been part of Olivia’s life since she was just 16 months old. By age 7, she was competing, and the pool quickly became her second home. Over the years, swimming has taught her discipline, resilience, confidence, and joy.
As Olivia has grown and is almost 14, she has become more aware of the world around her. She understands that access to swim lessons is a privilege. While she went on to take swimming to a competitive level, many kids never get the chance to learn basic water safety.
Nearly 90% of drownings can be prevented with proper water safety skills (CDC, 2025).
Now, from Olivia:
Hi, I’m Olivia.
I’m 13 years old, and swimming is one of my favorite things to do.
Swimming has taught me how to work hard, stay focused, and believe in myself. It’s also helped me feel safe and confident in the water. Not every kid gets the chance to learn how to swim, and I want to do something to help.
Swimming is more than a sport to me. It’s about being safe and feeling confident. Everyone should have the chance to learn that. I’m starting this fundraiser to help pay for swim lessons for a child who may not have the same opportunities as me. Every donation will go directly toward swim lessons and water safety skills.
Thank you so much for helping me do this.
