Help OKFD Recover from Facility Closure
Tax deductible
OKFD is fundraising for the purpose of replacing the loss of revenue resulting from the closure of the facility for 3 days caused by a broken sewer line and the costly repairs to the sewer lines.
The Oklahoma Foundation for the Disabled's (OKFD) mission is to improve the quality of life for adults throughout central Oklahoma with specialized needs by providing them with high-quality and transformative day-care featuring learning programs and services that include skills training, recreational activities, and socialization.
Recently, the OKFD facility experienced a costly sewer line repair, which caused the facility to be closed for several days. Because OKFD only receives funding from the state's Developmental Disabilities Services office when services are provided to clients, the total loss to the organization, including cost of closing facility and replacement of the sewer line total approximately $25,000.
As a result of this temporary loss of funding and cost of repairs, OKFD is asking our friends and patrons to help us to subsidize this loss of revenue by making a tax-deductible donation.
By donating, OKFD will be able to continue to pay staff and operational expenses without any further interuptions in our services to our clients.
