Support for Nick McGowan's Recuperation from a Life-Threatening Car Crash

Saturday morning, 7/27/24, Nick was simply driving to get coffee and donuts for his family when he was struck head on by another vehicle that lost control. His F-150 truck was forced off the road and rolled several times, partially ejecting Nick from the vehicle. He sustained severe, life-threatening injuries and is in a coma. The accident happened in Cadillac, MI. He was initially being treated by an ICU team in Traverse City, MI and has since been airlifted to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor for more intense treatment. Nick is still undergoing testing and continuous observation and remains in critical condition.

Nick is a loving husband and a dedicated father to two young precious girls. He is a mechanic with a Ford Dealership, a son, an uncle, a brother, a friend, a cousin, a staunch 49ers fan (don't let that sway you), and so much more. Nick is a young man who will be turning the big 4-0 in September, and we’re hoping that he will be home for his big day.

Obviously, Nick is not working, and, since his wife is at his bedside every day to support him, she is not able to work. This has been life-altering and will greatly impact their future. With school resuming soon, this will be a significant milestone and first ever ‘first day of school’ that he has missed for his girls.
