Help Newlyweds, Recover from a Motorcycle Crash!
Donation protected
On Sunday, July 30th, Aaron and Leslie Mills were involved in a motorcycle accident on 46th and Ocean Beach in Longview, WA while on a Memorial Ride. It was also his birthday.
Aaron has suffered multiple injuries, including a broken shoulder socket, ribs, punctured lung, and a small brain bleed. These injuries have left him in the hospital, where he awaits surgery on August 4th. Meanwhile, Leslie is by his side, supporting him in his recovery.
As the main provider for their family, it's essential that Aaron's recovery goes smoothly. However, the cost of medical expenses, food, and gas for the family can add up over time. We're stepping in to start a fundraising campaign for Aaron and Leslie, with the hopes of alleviating some of their financial stress.
Our goal is to raise enough funds to support Aaron and Leslie's family during this challenging time. Every dollar counts, as we hope to help with any expenses that will be incurred as he is recovering and to assist with medical bills, food expenses, and other costs that come with staying in the hospital.
Every small donation can make a big difference in supporting Aaron and Leslie's family as they just bought their first house and were expecting keys at the beginning of this week.
If you cannot donate, please share the fundraiser with friends, family, and colleagues!
Let's come together as a community to support Aaron and Leslie during this difficult time. Your support can make a world of difference in helping them get back on their feet. No amount is too small, and every little bit helps. Thank you for your generosity and helping us reach our goal!
8/1/23 @ 1 PM: Just talked to Leslie. Aaron is waking up a little more. Gets pretty agitated until she reminds him about what is going on. Waiting on imaging to get a MRI. The neck collar is irritating him when he wakes up. He's still in and out.
8/1/23 @ 7 PM: Just had a shift change. He's off all IV drips now. Took some pain meds orally. Also had some muscle relaxer through IV. Still waiting on MRI. They can't take the neck collar off until they know he doesn't have any ligament tears.
8/2/23 @ 7:30 AM -Aaron had an eventful night. Was quite agitated most the night. Tried to rip out his chest tube and Foley. Couldn't get the MRI because he wouldn't sit still long enough for it. They wound up putting his restraints back on. He's sleeping pretty hard right now. Goal today is seeing if his chest can withstand taking the chest tube out. Getting his Foley out. And MRI if we can get him to sit still long enough.
