Help My Neighbor Rebuild Her Home: Emergency Fund

Donation protected
Recently our 8-unit condo building caught on fire late at night (2:30am-ish) and destroyed several floors. The building is now so unstable that no one can go back in to retrieve any belongings they didn't grab when we all woke up to the fire alarms that night. While many of the units had renters' insurance or were very stable in other ways, one unit was hit a harder blow.

Our neighbor Roselene lived next door with her teenage son and now is living separated in extended family's homes until they can get some housing assistance to come through. Even when that happens, it's very unclear how much can or will be salvageable, given the smoke, water, fire, and demolition damage.

We'd like to help Roselene start a new life with her son and get her some resources in the short term. She's a first-generation Haitian immigrant and a very sweet but quiet woman who normally doesn't like to ask for help. While I know most of you have never met her, I hope you will take my word that she deserves a helping hand from the community to rebuild her home, and I hope you can donate a little bit.
