Hi, my name is Yangdol Tamang originally from Nepal, currently pursuing my Bachelor degree here at TRU and I'm fundraising for my 3 younger siblings (Dorjee Tamang, Renzin Dolma Tamang and Jampa dechen Tamang ), including my cousins and my family who have lost so much.

I never imagined that I would have to write these words. The recent devasting floods in Nepal took lives of my beloved mother (Lhakpa Tamang), my grandmother ( Chhenjum Tamang) two of my maternal aunts (Dawa Dolma lama and Mingmar Tamang ), and my uncle (Dawa Dhakpa Tamang). Being far from home while my family is going through this has been incredibly difficult for me. Our family has been left with an unimaginable loss.

My parents spent their entire lives putting us before themselves, worked hard, sacrificed their own happiness and comfort to give us everything they could while they had nothing.

It is heartbreaking for me to feel that I could not give my parents the good life they deserved while they were still here. I cannot change that now, but I want to honors their sacrifices by caring for the children they left behind. As the firstborn and eldest granddaughter in my family, this loss has left me with deep sense of responsibility.

My siblings and cousins are far too young to understand all of these situation . They should be going to school, playing and dreaming about their future not worrying about food, money or whether they can continue their education.

I want to do everything I can to support my younger siblings and cousins to help them continue their education and build the future our parents always wanted for us.

My families were depended on daily work, but the flood have blocked roads and taken away their ability to earn a living. They have no savings or stable income to fall back on. . I am doing everything I can to support them , but I cannot do it alone. I need your help.
