Hi, my name is Kimberly, and I’m raising funds to help my family in Westmoreland, Burnt Savannah, Jamaica, after Hurricane Melissa destroyed the home that has been in our family for over 60 years. This parish was hit the hardest by the storm.

This is the house my mom grew up in, where my grandparents lived, and the place where our family gathered for birthdays, holidays, and even funerals. This home holds four generations of memories, and now so much of it is gone. The roof was torn off, everything inside is water damaged, and a part of the house separated from the main structure. My cousin’s house next door was knocked off its foundation too.

My family is heartbroken seeing the home they were raised in reduced to debris. We need to rebuild almost from scratch, and the sooner we can start, the sooner they can return home.
