Help mum pay her vet bill

Yesterday evening (6.01.22) my distraught mum called me, in tears to inform me her much loved cat had been shot in the back leg. It is my belief that he doesn't travel far from her home when he goes exploring. The incident happened early afternoon. Realistically speaking I don't think her cat could have travelled far with such a wound to his back leg, which leads me to believe that this happened fairly close to where my mum lives. After taking him to the vets, Mum was faced with the heart breaking  decision of either getting his leg amputated or putting him to sleep. My mum adores her cat and so decided to go ahead with the amputation, unfortunately she is going to be faced with a bill that will take her 4 years to pay off.  When I was visiting today I heard a rifle shot as I was sat on her sofa... This was in the Kennedy avenue area, if anyone knows anything please come forward. All pet owners please be aware that someone out there thinks its OK to shoot harmless pets. You have no idea how much upset and financial distress you have caused my already struggling mum and now her much loved cat has to live the rest of his life with only 3 legs.My mum is a very genuine, kind and caring woman who would never hurt a soul, she never asks for anything but if I can help raise awareness and raise some funds to help her out, then this would make all the difference to her situation.
