Help Miranda fight triple negative breast cancer

Miranda is a young mother of a sweet little boy named Reo, who is almost age four.  This fall Miranda felt a lump in her breast, which was diagnosed as an aggressive triple negative form of breast cancer. This came as a complete shock to the family as they had no family history of cancer & especially since Miranda is so young to have breast cancer. Triple negative breast cancer means it is difficult to treat, as it does not respond to hormone therapy.

While trying to balance her role as a mother and wife, Miranda has been tackling her first round of chemotherapy. She will then move onto a new round of chemotherapy treatment in 2019 and an upcoming surgery.  As you can imagine, no family is prepared financially for the stress that comes with cancer. Miranda and her family live in the Sea to Sky area (Squamish), which has a very high cost of living.  We are asking for your help to create a fund, which helps lighten the financial burden for her family. Miranda’s drug plan is about the run out and she will have to pay out of pocket for these expensive drugs (no it’s not free in Canada!). We’re truly grateful for any donation at this time of year. If any funds are left over after Miranda beats Cancer (because she will!) they will be donated to breast cancer research.
