Mia is an incredible human who has changed the lives of 55+ homeless animals and hundreds of pups around the state (maybe even country).

In addition to her career being (arguably) the best dog trainer on the East Coast, she takes untrained shelter dogs who are struggling to adapt and makes them into well-trained, adoptable (highly desired) pups.

She brings them into her own home for 2-3 months, feeds them, trains them, and takes care of them, all to help them have the best chance possible at being adopted and kept long-term.

We have two shelter dogs who are brother and sister and are inseparable, who she raised in her pack. Before her, they spent 7 months in a hoarding situation, only knowing one room in a home and never seeing the light of day. Had they not been blessed with Mia’s love, they would have been difficult to adopt out (especially together) and would’ve given any family a run for their money.

In addition to her fosters, Mia has “kids” of her own, and she’s hitting a hard patch with some unexpected hurdles to start the new year. Medical bills for animals are always high, but she currently is in an urgent situation doing everything that needs to be done to help get one of her own back to herself. Diagnosis is unknown, but she’s in an animal hospital waiting for answers and next steps on how to fix her girl, Autumn.

And Autumn isn’t just any dog… she’s a domestic violence advocate. She joins those who have endured domestic violence and struggle to have composure and confidence while facing their abusers in court. She’s a complimentary service aid to help give a voice to many who never felt they had a voice before.
