EMERGENCY ... Please help me treat 7 lung fractures

Ramez Al-Mahlawi was a determined young man in his twenties, but war in Gaza turned his life upside down. Born in a refugee camp in northern Gaza, he lived with his small family, which meant everything to him. His parents worked tirelessly to ensure Ramez and his siblings had a better life than their own.

During that summer, a devastating war swept through Gaza. Rockets and shells were relentless, and even their home was not safe from danger. During one airstrike, their house was completely destroyed, leaving Ramez trapped under the rubble for hours before he was rescued. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, spending weeks in intensive care as doctors fought to save his life.

While he was recovering, Ramez received devastating news: he had lost all his family members in the bombing. There was no time to mourn; he had to focus on survival and healing. His injuries were severe; he had lost nerves in his left leg, suffered a lung and pelvic fracture, leading to partial disability.

Facing physical and emotional challenges, Ramez began to envision a new life outside Gaza, where he could access the necessary medical care and build a better future for himself. He decided to embark on a new journey in search of hope and opportunities.

During his recovery period, Ramez met doctors and volunteers from international organizations who encouraged him to stay strong and helped him progress step by step towards full recovery. He started learning English and prepared for additional surgeries and therapy sessions to regain his mobility.

Through his growing support network, Ramez managed to secure the necessary funding to travel outside Gaza to continue his long-term treatments. Despite his pain and significant loss, he retained hope and determination to build a better future for himself.

In the end, Ramez's story became a tale of resilience, strength, and determination, and about the ability to rebuild something new even after everything seems destroyed.
