Help Support Kendra’s Long Road To Recovery ❤️‍

Many of you know me as “Kendra’s Mom”, but my name is Wendy and unfortunately I am here due to a horrific situation involving my beautiful, brilliant daughter, Kendra Edwards, who is a law school graduate and globetrotter.

For those of you that know Kendra, this is going to be rather distressing to hear because we all know what a fierce, strong, independent warrior she has always been.

On May 6, 2025, Kendra was life flighted from one hospital to a trauma center in Portland, Oregon due to a severe life threatening domestic violence incident. Kendra actually coded.

She was placed in a medically induced coma, and placed on a ventilator. Today, as I am writing this, she is still on a ventilator. She has been taken off all sedation with the hopes of waking her. However, all efforts to wake Kendra up have been unsuccessful.

The trauma center is in Portland, Oregon, and I live about 7 hours away in Northern California. At some point, way down the road, Kendra will need to be placed into a skilled nursing facility that specializes in neurological rehab. The doctors have told me that that’s going to require a medical flight.

Based on the circumstances, we are facing an extraordinary amount of quickly escalating expenses; medical bills, travel expenses, lodging near the hospital, legal expenses, and the inevitable medical flight, just to name a few. I have vacation time at work, but that will only carry me another three weeks, at which point my paychecks will stop.

With that said, I am having to do something that I very much dislike doing, and that is asking for help. It’s something I very rarely do, but I would do anything for my daughter, Kendra.

So I am very, very humbly requesting financial assistance for a multitude of the mounting expenses that we are facing now, and will continue to face on her extremely long journey to recovery.
