My name is Kristie Lipinski, and I am the Pipe Major of the Regina Police Pipes & Drums. What started as a love for music has grown into a passion for representing our community, building connections, and continuing a tradition that brings people together.

I have been honored with an invitation to compete with the St. Andrew’s Pipe Band of Winnipeg at two of the most prestigious pipe band events in the world: The North American Pipe Band Championships at The Glengarry Highland Games in Maxville, Ontario (July 2026), followed by the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland (August 2027).

These competitions represent some of the highest level of pipe band performance and provide outstanding opportunities for professional development, cultural exchange, and international representation. Competing at Glengarry brings together top pipe bands from across Canada and beyond, while the World Championships in Scotland—home of this centuries old tradition—represent the pinnacle of pipe band achievement.

At these events, I will proudly represent Regina, The Regina Police Pipes & Drums, and The St. Andrew’s Pipe Band on both national and international stages. Through exceptional mentorship and guidance, I will gain new techniques, leadership insights, and musical perspectives to bring back to the Regina Police Pipes & Drums. As I grow through this journey, the knowledge and experience I acquire will benefit every band member—strengthening our sound, deepening our unity, and contributing to the long‑term success of our ensemble.

To make this opportunity possible, I am fundraising to help offset the significant costs associated with travel, accommodation, meals, equipment, and competition fees.
