What is Cuideachta?

Cuideachta is a grassroots mental-health project designed to put support information where people will actually see it — in pub bathrooms. These are places where people take a moment to themselves, often while thinking or processing, and a poster there can quietly remind someone that support exists, that they’re not alone, and how to reach help.

The posters contain simple, supportive information and local resources for mental wellbeing. They’re not clinical — they’re reminders of connection and support in a familiar, everyday setting.

Pubs are where people gather, unwind, and sometimes struggle quietly. Bathrooms are one of the few places people are alone long enough to read, pause, and take something in.

I’ve had pubs agree to display the posters — the only missing piece is aluminium frames so they can be hung properly and safely.

I’m raising €250 to buy 10 aluminium frames, which will allow Cuideachta to go live in 10 pubs immediately.
