Help me fundraise for a Law summer course!

Hello and thank you for reading! My name is Rocco Nelms, and I am a 15-year-old child in foster care. I was re-entered into the system 2 years ago after my adoptive father suddenly died of a STEMI heart attack. I was placed with my current family, who have since become my foster parents. They have provided me with an education, and what is required by law, but it's not the same as having my supportive father, Daniel, there for me in my life. I am determined to keep myself on the right path despite the struggles of foster care and bullying at school.

Just recently, I received a letter in the mail from Envision and World Strides explaining that I have been scouted to attend Stanford Law School for a summer program regarding an exclusive Mock Trial I will participate in, as an "Attorney." Throughout my time there, I will be taught by Stanford Law professors on how to prepare opening and closing statements, depending on the case I've been assigned. I want to attend this program desperately because the justice system has failed me. I won’t go into details, but the provisions my father had tried to put in place in the event of his untimely death were not followed through by multiple parties.

I want to prove to myself that I can make a difference and be a voice for the voiceless. This program will give me the opportunity to gain the experience and mentorship I need to make a difference not only in my own life, but in other people's lives as well. I'm ready to take on the challenge!

I will need to fundraise $5,264. I will be expected to pay in full for the program by Dec. 6th of this year, my enrollment date, or I can do monthly payments with a deposit.
