My name is Ahmed Damu, and I live in Gaza, Palestine, with my family of six. On June 8, 2024, my house was completely destroyed by rocket fire during the war. This devastating event led to the loss of my 13-year-old daughter, Hala and my 10-year-old son, Mohanad.

My 12-year-old daughter, Maziona, suffered devastating injuries to her jaw and is currently receiving temporary but basic treatment while we await her evacuation for further medical care for more complex surgeries abroad. My wife, Araij, 35, sustained broken bones under her left eye, facial burns, and damage to her vision. Additionally, my four-year-old daughter, Tala, has suffered burns to her face and is now visually impaired.

Maziona loved to play with Barbies. She also loved playing with her younger brother Mohannad whom she will never see again. Despite her injuries, she's determined to be "even more beautiful than before". Help me give her a better life. Help me take Maziona abroad for treatment, and maybe one day, rebuild our home, so that she can get a chance at the childhood she has been missing since the war began.

I share my story in the hope that it will bring attention to our suffering and garner support from the world. This is my reality right now, and this is what happened to m'e and what I have to deal with. Thank you for your sympathy and support.
