Help Maliah Attend Summer Seminar at SCAD

Hello!

My name is Maliah, and I'm a 17-year-old Native American high school senior and aspiring filmmaker. I've been interested in filmmaking since 2019 when I attended a filmmaking camp on Pine Ridge Reservation.

I recently learned about SCAD's Summer Seminar and I know that attending will connect me to so many resources, especially as I near the end of my high school journey. Attending this seminar has the potential to be life-changing. I'll spend a week living and learning at SCAD with other aspiring artists. I will have the opportunity to take courses in editing, color theory, film technology, and/or photography. Courses like these will help lay the foundation for my career going forward.

An opportunity like this is not readily available where I live. Your donation will have a significant impact on my education and my career.

I have until May 10th to raise $2200 (program fee, room, travel, and food) so that I can pay to attend the program, which takes place in July.
