Ludi is a devoted mom of three wonderful kids, all raised in East Colfax, Denver. She lost her husband in a tragic accident when her children were small, but through her strength and love, her family has thrived in their home and community. I have known Ludi for many years, and she is truly the heart of East Colfax. For seven years, she has managed the weekly food bank, volunteering countless hours and distributing millions of dollars in food and supplies to those most in need, including throughout the Covid pandemic. Ludi also serves on the board of the East Colfax neighborhood association, always ready with a hug and a helping hand for anyone who needs it. Her kindness and generosity have touched so many lives, and she is a pillar of support for our community.

Now, Ludi and her family are facing an unprecedented financial crisis. After trying to help a family friend, they have been left in the lurch, and their home is now threatened with foreclosure on February 2. Ludi has owned their house since 2016 and has always been a responsible and caring neighbor. Losing their home would be devastating for her children and for the community that relies on her. We need to come together to help them keep their house and stay in the neighborhood that means so much to them.
