Our dear friend, co-worker, and family member Kirsten has recently experienced a devastating car accident that has turned her world upside down in an instant. What began as a normal day ended in tragedy, leaving her without a vehicle and facing painful injuries to her face. Even more heartbreaking, her two precious daughters, Ellie and Emma, were also injured in the accident.

While we are incredibly grateful that they are alive, the physical, emotional, and financial toll of this accident has been overwhelming. Kirsten is now navigating medical appointments, recovery time, and the stress of being without reliable transportation—all while trying to stay strong for her girls.

As part of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) community, we know how powerful our support can be when we come together. Kirsten has always been a caring, hardworking, and dedicated member of our team. Now she needs us.

Funds raised will go toward:

• Medical expenses for Kirsten, Ellie, and Emma

• Transportation needs and replacing her totaled vehicle

• Daily living expenses during recovery
