Hi My Name is Sarah.
I'm a long time friend and neighbor of Kim Pardo.
As most of you know, Kim went into the hospital for an obstruction on September 17th.
After severe complications with the surgery she landed in the ICU sedated and on a ventilator.
Due to toxins leaking into her body, she was septic.
She was transferred to a different hospital more capable of taking care of her in her critical condition. There they found internal bleeding.
She has gone through about 7 surgeries so far , miraculously they were able to figure out away to save her. We did almost lose Kim, if you did not realize.
She has a long and tough road ahead of her.
At week 6, she still can not sit up for long, she is not up and walking, she can't eat or drink anything.
She will not be returning to work anytime soon. Over the span of the next few years, she will have to have several more surgeries for repairs.
She Is hoping to be released from rehab in a few weeks to a month. She wants to start looking for a place to land and will need some help from us to start her journey to recovery. She will have a lot of medical bills, housing and living expenses. She doesn't know when she will be able to drive again but will eventually need transportation.
Let's help get our Kim we know and love her life back.
