On Tuesday morning, our family’s world was turned upside down when the Palisades fire tore through LA. My brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Keri Crumbaker, lost everything they owned in the blaze. It’s been really hard for them to be vulnerable and ask for help, especially knowing so many others in the community are struggling too. That’s why we are reaching out to you on their behalf, hoping we can come together to support them during this difficult time.
On Tuesday morning, when the evacuation notice went out, Keri rushed home to get our dogs. The scene was chaotic—everyone trying to help each other get out as fast as possible. She managed to get the dogs out but had no time to grab anything else. We then watched in horror later that evening as their entire complex was on the news engulfed in flames and we knew they had lost everything.
They can't even begin to put into words what they're feeling right now—displaced, uncertain, and grieving. While we are so thankful they and the dogs made it out safely, the devastation of losing their home and belongings is unimaginable, they don’t even know where to start. We’re all so devastated by what has happened to their home and their community.
So many of you have reached out asking how you can help. We thought a GoFundMe would be the best way to provide immediate support as Keri and Eric navigate this heartbreak.
Your donations will help them with essential needs like temporary housing, clothing, food, dog supplies, immediate essentials, and eventually starting the long process of piecing their lives back together.
We are beyond grateful for any help you can provide, whether it’s through a donation, a share, or keeping them in your thoughts during this difficult time.
With love and gratitude,
