Help Keith, Karel & Chico Recover After Losing Their Home in the Kerrville Flood
In the early morning hours of July 4th, 2025, Keith Halbert, his wife Karel, and their dog Chico were jolted awake by someone pounding on the door of their motorhome. Outside, the water was rising fast. Within moments, they grabbed what they could and fled to higher ground, just in time to watch their full-time home, a Class A Thor ACE, get flooded and swept away in the flash flood that tore through Kerrville.
Their motorhome was parked in a riverside RV park when the storm hit. They lost nearly everything: clothing, food, essential belongings. While insurance may help down the line, right now Keith and Karel are in immediate need of housing, clothing, and basic living essentials. The long-term goal is to help them put a solid down payment on a new RV and get them back to a sense of normalcy.
If you know Keith, you know he’s the first one to lend a hand. He’s one of the most dependable, kind-hearted people in our community. Always smiling, always serving, never asking for anything in return. Our customers love him, and our team is better because of him. Now it’s our turn to be there for Keith and Karel.
We’ve set a goal of $25,000 to help them get back on their feet. Every single dollar, no matter how small, makes a difference.
There were hundreds of families impacted by this tragic disaster. Thank you for choosing to support Keith, Karel, and Chico. Your generosity is truly a blessing.
