Help Ukrainian Refugees arrive and live safely in Maine

Hi, my name is Katrina.

My husband and I live in Westport Island, Maine (a rural area). We need your help funding the transportation needs of the Ukrainian refugees that we are Sponsoring to come to the USA to live with us. A refugee mother and two young boys (ages 12 and 17) will arrive soon, however, we need maximum financial help with these substantial expenses. Major expenses will total well over $5,000 to bring them here and make the critical adjustment to American life. The airplane tickets total price will be about $3,000. A used car will cost at least $5,000. *** The Ukrainian mother must have a reliable car because we live in a very rural area with no public transportation. She will need a car to drive to a job. *** Language classes, licenses and enrollment costs will exceed $1,000 .We need funds now to pay for these critical expenses ..

We live in a rural area of Maine, in the tiny town of Westport Island. *** There are no public transportation options.*** The Ukrainian refugee beneficiary is an experienced automobile operator and she (Viktoriia) is anxious to find a job, daily there are no very nearby companies, so she must drive herself daily..

We have agreed to cover their living expenses for 2 years including (housing, food, utilities, etc). That will be a substantial amount of our own funds, but we desperately need help with these other critical expenses.

The family will live in our home for the next 2 years or longer..... The family that is coming to us is a mother and 2 boys. They are escaping from more than 2 years of extreme danger. Their home and town has been destroyed. Each day they live in fear of the missiles and bombs that fly over their heads... The family is shell-shocked and needs to settle here in a peaceful place.
