My name is Julie, I'm 25 years old, a mother, and before I got sick, I was beginning my career as a teacher.

In July of 2025, I began experiencing severely disabling symptoms that led to me being diagnosed with Dysautonomia. I was in and out of the hospital, on home health, and fully bed-bound for 5 months, not even able to get up to use the restroom or prepare food for myself. I have now made some progress and am able to take care of my basic needs, but I am still having a lot of trouble walking long distances and trouble with muscle weakness, so using a manual wheelchair has not worked for me; I don't have the strength to push myself long distances.

I need an electric wheelchair to be able to make it to Dr. appointments, to go to the store, and to be there for my son.
