Help Jorge Document Rad Guatemalan Climbing Community

Hola! It's Jorge - I am looking to embark on a photojournalism trip to capture the story of a growing community of climbers in Guatemala and would love your help.
As it stands, there is quite a bit of motion in Guatemala when it comes to climbing but not nearly enough representation or documentation in climbing media. Simply put, I dream of taking my film camera with me to capture the movement in Guatemala and the folks behind it (and any flora and fauna I encounter along the way).
The work they are doing is magical and deserves an involved and tactile documentation process like film, BUT, here lies the problem... FILM IS EXPENSIVE. So, would you be able to help sponsor the costs associated with shooting on film, please?
Context:
- Earlier this year I visited Guatemala and met a community of fascinating young Guatemalan climbers that are developing new climbing crags in various areas of the country. This community is rad and I would love to help tell their story as they develop new crags in Atitlan and Huehuetenango.
Costs:
- On average the final cost to purchase and develop a roll of film will be around $25 dollars. Film costs are soaring (Portra 400 for $17, what the heck) + processing the film itself so any support would be extremely helpful.
- For example, if I wanted to shoot 1-2 rolls a day for two weeks, this would require a max of 28 rolls. You can see how quickly it adds up: 28 x $25 = $700
Considerations:
- Funds to also be used to pay projects participants honorarium fees for their time.
- Funds would also support lodging, food and additional gear costs associated with film shoots.
- $917 goal was set because I am launching this fundraiser on my birthday (09/17)
- Project dates TBD as it will be dependent on total funds raised + participant schedules
