Hello. My name is John Brito. What can I say? Before July, I was living a normal life, going to work and spending my time with my family. But when July came, my life took a turn for the worse. On July 10, I was heading home on my e-scooter when I noticed I was losing my balance. I ended up falling down on the hot ground and I couldn’t get up because of how hot the floor was. I was hospitalized afterward due to some further concerns inside my body. I found out that my kidneys were in a bad situation. I have stage 5 CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease). During my stay, I started going to dialysis, which is something I have to go through in order to survive. I was discharged from my stay only to go back to another hospital due to having a fall when I was back home. I went through various tests this time around to make sure everything was okay, which it was. I continued to go through hospital dialysis. I was then transferred to a rehab center to assist with the healing of my legs. I will be discharged on 8/4, which is great, but during my time away at the hospital, I missed out on work. Unfortunately, I fall under that category of people who live paycheck to paycheck, and you can see how this put a strain on my bills as well as my well-being. That's why I’m doing this. I’m just asking for a little help to get myself back on track before I go back to work. I am on the verge of not having any funds to help pay for transportation to and from the dialysis center. If I miss an appointment, it will be fatal in my situation. Please help in any amount you can spare. I don’t usually do this, but I might have no choice. Thank you for any help that would be hot.
