We are all absolutely blown away from all of the support so far. Now that some time has passed, Jenna and Joe have been able to assess their losses in depth and we are increasing the goal amount to reflect what will need to be replaced to truly get them back to even. Some of the largest losses come in the form of Joe's work van and equipment. For those of you that don't know, Joe is an extremely talented professional electrician with his own business. He lost every tool and piece of equipment, a 100% loss to the business he has worked so hard to build. Additionally, there is a DESPERATE need for his services to help out his surrounding community regain power and to start rebuilding people's homes and lives. As soon as he is able to replace the bare necessities he will be working hard to restore electricity to the homes and businesses that are in dire need of power. Thanks again.

This GoFundMe is setup on behalf of my dear friends, Jenna Shaw and Joe Dancy, who lost all of their worldly possessions to the catastrophic flooding in Swannanoa, NC caused by Hurricane Helene. They were fortunate enough to escape with all of their pets accounted for, but lost all of their vehicles and everything inside due to their house filling with 5+ feet of water.
The goal of this fundraiser is to lessen the blow of the financial burden they will be facing in the months to come while they rebuild their lives and home that they worked so hard to turn into their sanctuary. Without renter's insurance and no guarantee of income while western NC is being assessed and rebuilt, this will help them immensely as they try to regain some semblance of a normal life.
