Help Jason recover from cancer

Donation protected

I know there are a lot of pity stories out there, so I will try to keep this brief.

COVID has brought a lot of hardship to the world, and my story is only 1 among many, so I feel bad even writing this. I am usually the first to offer help and the last to ask for it, but I am nearly out of options.

As the pandemic started I had to transition from working "on the road" to working from my basement. That summer is when my wife and I discussed what our separation would look like and how each of us would try to get by. Then in the fall all plans got pushed aside as my ability to work as many hours was severely limited by the return of cancer.

The good news: the tumors have been removed and the immunotherapy seems to be keeping it gone so far.

The bad news: my savings, bonuses, credit cards and vacation time have all been consumed trying to get the house in order and livable for separated spouses, give me a few days at a time to recover from surgeries and treatments, and keep the bills paid.

During this time I also got the news that in order to keep my home insurance I would have to replace my electrical panel, and it is for that reason primarily that I am now finally asking for help.

Any contributions go first and foremost to getting the work done that will keep an insured roof over our heads. Anything beyond that amount will be used to get me in a more resilient position to be able to take either short term disability or recovery days through upcoming treatments where short term disability alone would not pay the bills and my vacation bank is in the negative. In the event that those needs are met then the focus will be getting healthy enough mentally and physically to resume giving back to the community through the volunteer and charity work I was doing before this all started (the cadet program, habitat for humanity - ride through the rockies, multiple miles for myeloma, and others).

Thank you for any help you can provide, whether directly or through helping pass this along to those who might be able to do the same.

Best wishes for health and comfort in these troubled times,

Jason
