I am creating this fundraiser for my baby brother, Nickolas Christian Lara. Nickolas was a beloved son, brother, and uncle, and losing him has shattered our family. He was only 22 years old when his life was taken from us far too soon because of gun violence. His passing was sudden, senseless, and completely unexpected. Nickolas was the youngest and only boy in our family, deeply loved by our parents, his three older sisters, and his four nieces and nephews. He was funny, sweet, caring, and the kind of person who was always there for others, even when he had very little himself. He loved to cook, loved his family deeply, and was simply a kind soul who wanted to be loved and live a happy life.

Right now, we are asking for help with funeral expenses so we can put Nickolas to rest the way he deserves. This tragedy has left our family heartbroken and struggling to carry the unexpected costs that come with saying goodbye. We will always love and remember Nickolas, and we want to honor his memory with the farewell he should have had.
