My son Ilias (pronounced Elias) passed away suddenly at the age of 29. Ilias was a loving, caring soul who truly lived life to the fullest. He worked hard as a correction officer and was always there for others—he would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. He had two brothers and one sister, and his love for his family, especially his mom, was immense.
Ilias was known for his infectious sense of humor and his big, generous heart. He touched the lives of everyone around him, always ready to help, to listen, and to bring a smile to someone’s face. Losing him so suddenly has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. We want to honor his memory in the most loving way we can, surrounded by those who cared for him.
No one expects to plan funeral expenses for someone so young, and things are hard and expensive right now. We are raising funds to help cover funeral expenses and give Ilias the send-off he deserves. Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to our family as we try to find our way through this heartbreak. Thank you for considering helping us honor Ilias’s life and legacy.
