Help Harvey make food

Hi, my name is Eva, and I'm fundraising for my son Harvey 's summer culinary arts program.

Harvey has always been interested in food (eating it and making it) and willing to try just about anything. Last school year, while cooped up at home doing remote schooling, Harvey really started experimenting in the kitchen, and solidified his interest in culinary arts and sciences.

This year, he returned to school in person as a sophomore at Stanton College Prep, having never physically been to campus. Despite the difficulties of navigating high school during a pandemic, Harvey has been able to spread a little bit of joy to his classmates and teachers through food-- he's brought in cookies, pies, caramels, and even baked brie. These small acts of kindness inspired one of his teachers to nominate Harvey for the Culinary Institute of America's summer Culinary Academy in Napa, California, to which he has officially been invited! He was selected based on his academic achievement and interest in the culinary field.

If able to attend the program, Harvey would join other high school students in learning not only key culinary skills in cooking, baking, and pastry arts, but also food culture and history, sustainable farming, nutrition, and restaurant management. The seven-day intensive program would give him unique experiences and opportunities to help guide his path into adulthood, academically, professionally, and personally.
