Update on Greg Hurst’s Fight
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Whitney Barrick and Rachel Hurst is my cousin. I come to you all to share with us in prayer, hope, and fight for the life of Greg Hurst.
In June of 2024, Greg was diagnosed with mucinous adenocarcinoma of the appendix. This is an extremely rare but aggressive form of cancer. Greg has undergone numerous surgeries and treatments in Dallas and locally. At this point, the cancer has spread to other organs and areas in his abdomen. Recently, Greg and Rachel were informed that all treatment options have been exhausted unless he is accepted for a clinical trial. Greg was turned down for trials at OU and at UT but, by God’s grace, he was recently accepted for a trial at MD Anderson in Houston. While this is the blessing we have been praying for, it comes with a tremendous amount of extra travel and medical expenses on top of what the family has already endured through this fight.
Greg and Rachel are high school sweethearts married for 20 years. They have three great kids, Mason, 19, who has just completed his first year of college, Taylor, 17, who is about to embark on her senior year of high school, and Kennedy, 12, who is going into seventh grade. This has been a very stressful and emotional journey for this young family. We are asking our family, friends, and community to please help Greg continue to fight this battle with cancer so that he has the opportunity to continue to be here for his family and all of their precious milestones to come. Thank you all so much, in advance, for your loving support.
I am sending this out so those of you that are rooting for the Hurst family can help them continue to fight. Any donations go straight to Rachel and Greg.
