Gordy is an 8-month-old tuxedo munchkin kitten with a huge personality and an even bigger fanbase. If you've met Gordy—online or in person—you already know how special she is. Gordy was rescued in October, believed to be the only kitten in a stray cats litter. At that time she weighed less than 1 pound and now is a robust 5.5 pounds! Gordy is sweet, affectionate, funny and active. We believe she will grow into a perfect Pet-Therapy cat and positively impact many lives.
Recently, Gordy was diagnosed with stomatitis, a painful and chronic inflammation of the mouth. In cats, this condition can cause intense discomfort, difficulty eating, and a greatly reduced quality of life. After careful evaluation, her veterinary team, including Board Certified Veterinary Dentist, Dr. Shawna Sawtelle at Southern Arizona Vet Specialty, recommended a full mouth tooth extraction—a procedure with an 80% success rate in eliminating the pain and inflammation.
While the outcome is promising, the procedure is extensive and comes with a significant cost. Gordy is otherwise healthy, and her vets believe she'll recover well and go on to live a long, happy life.
Gordy has built a beautiful community of people who love and support her, and we know many of you will want to be part of her journey. Your donation, no matter the size, will help cover the cost of her surgery and post-op care—and give her the pain-free life she deserves.
Thank you for loving Gordy and for helping her heal. Please consider donating and sharing her story.
