It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Henry Eugene "Gene" Thornton, a beloved father of 4, grandfather of 9, great-grandfather of 21, great-great-grandfather of 8 and cherished brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Gene departed this life on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the age of 87.

Gene dedicated over 60 years to his career as a self-employed welder, retiring around 10 years ago. Known for his unwavering work ethic and his readiness to help others, Gene's legacy of kindness and diligence will be remembered by all who knew him.

Regrettably, Gene did not have the opportunity to set aside funds for funeral expenses. As such, we are reaching out for your support during this difficult time. Funerals and burials are inherently costly and any contribution, regardless of size, will be greatly appreciated to ensure that Gene receives the respectful and dignified farewell he deserves.
