Hi my name is Paula, many people are unaware of the new Turkish law to cull the Turkish street dogs. We need transport fees to get this sweet old girl we have named Leona safe to the UK she is not safe remaining in Turkey, she is in hiding in free foster care arranged by a private shelter based in Turkey. I am not able to say the name for fear of reprisals and could be dangerous for the other dogs and cats living there. Leona is the last dog left of her pack. The rest of her pack that had lived happily for many years in a village were forcibly captured and removed, taken away from a happy life they were accustomed to. She managed to escape and we have been able to hide her and place her into foster care. We have raised funds for her vet’s bills as she wasn’t too well but she is doing ok now. I can give her the chance of a forever home with me and my 3 other rescues in the UK but I’m unable to pay the expensive transport fee, we need the transport fees to get her to me. The new Turkish Laws are forcibly rounding up the Turkish dogs, catching them in Viscious cruel ways, some inhumanly killed on the streets . These innocent animals are being dragged to live a life of starvation and misery in government shelters hidden in the mountains. Many are killed before they reach the government shelters, the pictures and videos are horrendous !! Please help this old lady live her last years in a place of safety surrounded by love and care .
