My name is Alexander Haro. I moved from Canada to Malibu five years ago. Gerry Grannon was my neighbor until our houses burned down in the Woolsey Fire in Malibu, California. He's spent the last forty years living there, and over those years, he created a beautiful, unique house. He did all the work himself, spending years on it. Unfortunately, Gerry had no insurance. At 74-years-old and with almost no money, he doesn't feel as though he's able to rebuild. He and his dog Becks are now effectively homeless. If you know Gerry, you know he'd literally carve his heart out of his chest for anyone who needed it. On the day of the fire, he gave his last five gallons of gasoline from his '81 Ford to a couple driving a brand new Mercedes. Gerry is a fixture in Malibu, and he needs help. Everything he owned is gone, and he has no way to replace it. Since Gerry's not great with the internet or asking for help, I set this up for him and will hand him donations personally. Thanks to everyone who donates. Money for clothing, dog food, and hopefully enough to chip away at rebuilding would change his life.
