"A Home at the End of My Life" is a solo show - a story really - about the last three-plus years since my husband Chris suffered a severe stroke. It's about our life together and how the stroke has impacted our lives. It's also about this 76-year-old gay man (me) and how I've navigated the ups and downs of life as a caregiver, along the way realizing that Chris is the love of my life. And grieving the loss of someone who hasn't died, but has irretrievably changed and left me living alone, but not alone. Finally, it's about being well along in the third act of life, facing all the unknowns and understanding that, as the philosopher said, life must be understood backwards, but must be lived forward. It's an intimate piece, told intentionally to small audiences, so they can better share the journey.
