Help for Sydney's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Michelle and my niece, Sydney Easterling is a 19-year-old Army ROTC cadet at Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama. On March 23, 2024, Sydney and three other cadets were involved in a car accident. Sydney suffered multiple injuries and was air lifted to the University of Alabama-Birmingham Hospital. She is in the ICU in stable condition.
Sydney suffered a fractured hip, partially collapsed lung, lacerations of the liver, kidneys, and spleen, internal bleeding, and injuries to her mouth and teeth. She will need reconstructive dentistry and physical therapy.
Sydney does not have health insurance and is facing overwhelming medical and dental expenses with which she needs help. She is one of the top ROTC cadets at MMI and, after graduation, plans to attend a 4-year college before being commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant.
UPDATE (March 27, 2024): I'm very happy to report that Sydney was released from the ICU this afternoon and continues to recuperate in Alabama.
Funds will be used for medical and dental expenses.
