Help for a Caregiver’s Cancer Expenses

My mom’s caregiver is going through more than anyone should have to endure.  In May she had a radical mastectomy due to breast cancer.  A short while later, found out she had thyroid cancer.  Last week she was told her breast cancer had moved to her lungs.  She needed to go on a chemo drug immediately and has lost her hair for the 2nd time!  Not to mention the other horrible side effects of being on chemo meds. 

Let me tell you you a little about this brave lady...Lorraine is only 59 years old.   She has been a caregiver privately as well as for a Christian Home for the elderly for years!  She has little family.  Despite the pains of cancer,  Lorraine works 30+ hours per week.  Leaving one day a week, for doctor’s appointments.  She tries to rest on Sat and attends church/church activities on Sundays.  Every time she comes to see mom, she is happy, upbeat, positive and takes such great care of my mom (which isn’t easy!).  She helps mom with daily devotionals, exercise, chores around the house, cooking meals, cleaning and the list goes on!

I’m hoping to relieve a bit of Lorraine’s stress so she doesn’t have to worry about her medical expenses not covered by insurance, rent, car payments, etc. Lorraine has enough to do with thinking positively and getting well!
