Hi everyone,
My name is Sha'Monet, and I'm creating this GoFundMe for my dear friend Flo, who was recently in a tragic car accident that changed her life in an instant.
Flo wasn't even driving that day. She was in the back seat resting because she was tired, and it had been a long day. The driver of her vehicle had a seizure behind the wheel. By the time she realized what was happening, she did everything she could to help. From the back seat, she tried to reach forward to grab control of the vehicle and remove his foot from the pedal to stop the car. But it was too late. They crashed, and it was severe.
Flo took the hardest impact, and her injuries are extensive:
- Fractured ribs
- Fractured bones in her face
- A broken leg
- A punctured lung
- Head and neck trauma
While the driver has already been released from the hospital with minor injuries, Flo remains in the hospital facing a long road of pain management, rehab, and recovery.
Before the accident, she was preparing to sign a lease for her new apartment on November 1st. She just started a new position at her job a few weeks ago. She was excited to start a new chapter of independence. Now, that dream is on hold. Her car is totaled, she can't return to work yet, and she'll need extensive support once she leaves the hospital, including medical equipment, home care items, rehab costs, and eventually a vehicle to transport her to appointments safely.
Flo has always been the one to show up and support everyone with love, laughter, and a heart that never quits. Now she needs us to show up for her.
Your donations will go directly toward:
- Hospital and rehabilitation costs
- Medical and mobility equipment for home recovery
- Temporary housing and essential living expenses
- Transportation and a replacement vehicle
No amount is too small. Even a share, a prayer, or a kind word helps more than you know.
Flo is strong, resilient, and deeply loved. Her story is one of faith, courage, and survival, and with our help, she'll make a full recovery in a stress-free environment and rebuild what was lost.
Thank you for standing beside her on this journey.
With love,
Sha'Monet De'Nita
