Help Evacuate my Family from Gaza.

My name is Diaeddin Salemdawod, I’m a Palestinian from Gaza living and working in Germany. For 220 days I have tried everything I could possibly do to evacuate my family from Gaza, from filing the crisis intake form to contacting the embassies and consulates but unfortunately to no avail.

I am reaching out to all of you with this difficult request to help save my family in Gaza from being killed by the war, lack of food and clean water, or lack of medication. My father's name is Moin, my mother Rajaa, my sister Samaa (13 years old) and my brother is Ahmed (18 years old). They are all stuck in Gaza and require financial support to evacuate the Gaza Strip immediately.

Here’s a little bit about my family:

My parents and my siblings have lived their whole lives in Gaza and survived many aggressions. My mother is a retired teacher and my father is a contractor. After his last work injury, he was unable to work again. My brother finished high school with a grade of 98%. He began studying the German language in order to come to study medicine in Germany, as my other brother Mohammed did, before the war began. As for my sister, she is very accomplished in her studies, and we also want her to complete her studies in Germany. They already got the German Visa to visit me in Germany but unfortunately they could not get out because the war had already started.

My parents worked very hard their whole lives to provide a comfortable life for their children. They have the most wonderful imaginations and like every child in the world their wish is to be safe and live as a normal kid and have normal kid experiences.

The kids have lived through multiple aggressions and do not know that the rest of the world is safe and does not get bombed every few months! This tells you a lot about how much it is affecting them and causing them trauma. I pray to God every day to keep them safe and not experience any more harm.

After October 7th, my family had to evacuate to the south and leave their beautiful safe home in Northern Gaza and they only carried the essential stuff and had to leave their home, memories, and everything else behind. The house is not standing anymore, the last they heard was their area got bombed multiple times and their house was affected severely by it.

Since October 7th, they have been displaced multiple times, and a couple days before my Mom was pleading to me to help her find another safe place in the south after their area, which in the south, has been ordered to be evacuated by the IDF but unfortunately, we still have not found them any place to keep them safe in Rafah. Every day it is getting more dangerous and unsafe to be in the Gaza Strip. Food, water, and medication are very hard to find nowadays as well and there are no more safe areas to evacuate to.

Please help me evacuate my family and let it not be my last memory of them.
