Our loving and wonderful friend Elyce has been diagnosed again with Leukemia. She was in remission for a little over a year, but sadly it has come back. Fast and strong. With it all coming on so sudden, Elyce and her husband Joel went up to OHSU right away, where they have been since the end of January.
As of right now, they are going to be up in Portland at the hospital for at least another month. With many medical appointments thereafter. She has completed 1 round of Chemo, and with her good spirits and snarky attitude nothing will bringing her down. She is a fighter! They will be looking in the National database for a Bone Marrow Donor, then do a transplant. Elyce’s diagnosis not only carries an enormously heavy weight emotionally, but financially as well.
This fundraiser has been established to ease this burden so that Elyce can focus on healing and so they can both return to a sense of normalcy.
