Please help Eli’s family

A sweet child taken too soon.

To my friends and family and any one reading this, it is with profound sadness and a broken heart that I am requesting a helping hand to my sister-in-law, Debbie Lunsford and Andy Hutchens who have suffered a terrible unexpected loss. Every parents greatest fear realized, the loss of a child. It happened so suddenly and I know nothing will ever fill the void in her heart.

Eli Hutchens (9 years old) was a smart, funny and loving boy. He had a big heart and cared so much for others. He and his mom would often drop off food at the blessing boxes around town. Such a tiny act of care from a child with a big heart.

Eli's mother, father and families are grieving this horrific loss that no one should have to go through.

 

Eli had been taken to his primary care doctor, the local Urgent care and the local Emergency department twice before being transferred to Brenner's Children's Hospital. Shortly after arriving at Brenner's, Eli went into septic shock. Eli passed away February 14, 2022. It is believed it came from undiagnosed strep throat.
