Help David Fight Lyme Disease and Heal
Donation protected
My name is Brandi, and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my husband, David, who has been courageously battling Lyme disease and multiple co-infections for the past year and a half.
What started as unexplained fatigue, pain, and illness with no sign of being bit by a tick turned into a devastating diagnosis after months of tests and misdiagnosis. Our Canadian test came back negative however we knew we needed answers so we took matters into our own hands and paid thousands to have tests sent to Germany and the US. By the time we finally received answers, David’s health had already taken a severe toll. He has been off work for a year now due to constant, debilitating symptoms including nausea, dizziness, gastrointestinal issues, extreme fatigue, severe anxiety, debilitating bone and joint pain and dramatic weight loss, over 30 pounds. Many days he is bedridden, unable to do the things he once loved or even manage basic daily life.
Before Lyme, David was strong, active, and hardworking. He spent years in the oilfield, working long hours while still finding time for biking, boating, camping, and enjoying the outdoors. He was always dedicated, motivated, and full of life. Seeing him lose his strength, mobility, and independence has been heartbreaking beyond words.
I am currently working over 50 hours a week to keep us afloat, but the costs of ongoing treatments, specialists, and supportive therapies are overwhelming and not covered by insurance. These treatments are essential for giving David a chance to recover, regain his health, and begin truly healing.
We are asking for your support to help cover medical expenses, therapies, and treatments that can give David hope and a fighting chance. Any contribution, no matter how small, would make a profound difference in our lives. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page with others would mean the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading our story and for supporting us during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness and generosity give us strength and hope
