Help us raise funds for Darian’s long-term recovery and care!
On March 16th, Darian was admitted to Denver Health with a sinus infection and persistent migraine. He quickly experienced his first seizure and went into septic shock, and he has been fighting for his life over the last several days after being in out of consciousness. Darian is currently recovering in the ICU after an intense battle with meningitis and a bacterial infection of the brain, and is slowly coming back to us. After a difficult brain surgery, he slowly began to wake up and has exhibited limited use of his left side of his body. At the moment, his right side of his body is still not fully capable of movement. Although his family is so happy to see him awake after a long and difficult 72-hour period, we know this will be a long recovery for Darian and his family moving forward.
Darian’s family is needing financial support to be able to provide full-time care for him and to make sure that he is fully equipped during this time. Although it is still early on in the process, we know that Darian will have to begin rehabilitation in order to regain strength on the entirety of his right side of his body. In addition, he will have to take a steady stream of antibiotics once he gets home for at least 4-6 weeks via IV, as well as additional medical support that is TBD.
We appreciate any and all support, love and prayers sent towards Darian and his family during this time. Thank you so much!
