Help Daniela and Miguel Overcome This Crisis

We are reaching out with heavy hearts and are asking for help in this troublesome time. On August 3rd, 2024, my sister, Daniela, and her husband, Miguel were involved in a car accident on their way home from a big picnic celebration in Connecticut. A rainstorm caused the highway roads to be slippery and when exiting the Cross County Parkway, the driver lost control of the car and collided head-on against a tree.

Miguel and Daniela were taken straight to the hospital and family and friends were by their side all night waiting for news of their injuries. Miguel suffered a fractured rib and a small laceration to his liver. Daniela has a fractured cheekbone, a sprained wrist, and a small laceration on her left foot. We are so grateful they are still with us and are both expected to make a full recovery. We appreciate all of the support, love, prayers, and words of comfort that our community has shown us in this difficult time.

Miguel is a kind-hearted person and loves to be around people. Daniela is caring, generous, and has a "life of the party" personality that brings people together. They are both sure to come out of this stronger than ever.

Unfortunately, due to their injuries, they are both unable to work. This GoFundMe has been set up to help this couple lessen their burden of upcoming bills, such as rent and other expenses during this difficult time and their road to recovery.
