My uncle Daniel has always been the kind of family you can count on. Whether it’s helping relatives, friends, or coworkers, he’s dedicated his life to supporting those around him. As family, I’ve seen firsthand how hard he works and how he never lets setbacks stop him from pursuing his goals or caring for his loved ones.

Recently, my uncle Daniel experienced a devastating loss. Thieves broke into the bed of his truck and stole all of his work tools and supplies—thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment he’s spent years collecting for his job. Living in an apartment complex in a rough part of the neighborhood, it’s always been difficult for him to store his tools safely. He’s done his best to keep his items secure, but now he feels anxious every time he leaves his truck out, worried that something like this could happen again.

The support from this fundraiser will go directly toward helping my uncle Daniel recover. Every dollar raised will help replace his stolen tools, repair the damaged truck hatch, and install a security camera for his truck to help ward off future thefts. It will also give him the chance to bounce back from lost work. Blue collar and hands-on workers like my uncle Daniel face incredible hardships, and I hope those who understand this struggle can put themselves in his shoes. Despite everything, he continues to put his family first and keeps moving forward with strength and determination.
