Hello, I’m Danette Barba, the proud mother of Danarae Barba. On October 22, Danarae and Ryan suffered an unimaginable loss. At her second ultrasound visit, they found that the beautiful soul she had carried and loved for 9 weeks had passed away. It is still surreal for us all, and Danarae hasn’t let herself feel the emotional pain yet.

Danarae was blessed by her OB, Marian Mathis, and Roper Berkeley, and they got her in the following day for her D&C. I’m so thankful she didn’t have to wait longer than 24 hours because that was a long day for my daughter.

There were some small complications, and Danarae had to have a laparoscopy of her uterus (she had a large uterus and more than a little blood loss). She still has her uterus and can have a baby in the future if she chooses.

For those that know, Danarae is a Vet Technician (a job she does for the love of animals). She cannot return to work for 2 weeks, preferably by her doctor, because she needs to recover from the surgery, blood loss, and the emotional loss.

I’m reaching out to our community to help her with donations during this time to assist with her monthly bills. This was unexpected, and she doesn’t have the vacation time saved to be off work for that length of time. And her rational brain is focusing on this instead of her loss.
