Help Crystal Dirolf Fight Breast Cancer
Life has an unusual way of throwing you curveballs when you least expect it.
On Wednesday March 3rd 2021 Crystal was diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive Ductile Carcenoma Breast Cancer. To say we were shocked is an understatement.
Anyone who knows or has ever met Crystal knows she is one of the most genuine, pure hearted souls. Crystal would do anything for anyone at a moment’s notice. Crystal has participated and lead a team in the Relay for Life benefiting The American Cancer Society for over 17 years to help others and raise funds for care and research.
On Thursday Crystal will have surgery to implant a port and begin chemotherapy the following week. Hopefully this will shrink down her tumor and enable the surgeons to move on to removal surgery. Then that will be followed by more rounds of chemotherapy. This will be a very long and expensive road for both of us.
This just breaks my heart for her but she would never let anyone know her fears. I know this because she is my fiancé, soon to be wife in September 2021. Instead of being excited and planning for our wedding, she is now planning for doctor’s appointments, surgeries, and expensive medical bills. This should be one of the best times in a woman’s life but instead we have to play the cards we were dealt.
Crystal did not really want me to start this page for her and was really on the fence about it. She is the kind of person that doesn’t want to ask anyone for anything. However, I know the upcoming situations and that we will really need it. From the travel expenses to copays and surgeries to expensive prescriptions it will addup fast. Financial stress is not good for the healing process. Not to sound cliche but any amount no matter how small will truly help and go a very long way. If you are unable to financially contribute, please share with your network or say a prayer as they go a long way as well. I will be updating as information becomes available to keep everyone informed on our journey.
Thank you for reading and your consideration in helping Crystal Dirolf fight the good fight against Breast Cancer.
